Tell us about your family.
I've been married to Catriona for 37 Years, and we have four grown up kids. Scott (36) is married to Ashley and lives in Cincinnati. Scott is self employed, Amy (34) is married to Ben, and they have a 7 month old boy named Koa - they live in Edinburgh, and serve in a church there. Joe is married to Lois and they live in Edinburgh - Joe (32) serves for 20 Schemes a mission organisation, as their accountant. And our youngest, Ross (24) is living and working in Houston Texas as a recruiter.
How have you seen God working in your family?
God has protected us, lead and guided us over decades. Our home has been a very open one all through their childhood, and it has led them all to have servant hearts and a love of sharing their lives and homes. God has worked in a million sovereign ways, over and over again!
How have you seen God working in your life?
After 34 years of ministry in 2 churches, God put a burden on my heart to plant a church. All I have learned and experienced in these three decades, God is using now to help me reach re-plant in a spiritually needy area of the city of Edinburgh.
How have you seen God working in your church?
We are not yet one year old. We have totally renovated the building with the generosity of God through others. We have 40-50 coming every week. New people have visited every Sunday. Christians have been re-vitalised and we had our first baptism for a new believer in February. Its only the beginning.
What is your church’s mission/vision?
Our Tag line: In Leith, for Leith, sharing Christ.
Our Vision Statement: Under God, to grow a Christ-centred church family with a heart for the community of Leith, especially the least, the last and the lost.
Our Mission Statement: We exist to know and worship God as followers of Jesus, share our faith, lives and the church building withthe community in Leith through developing relationships, by sacrificially loving one another, and living out generous grace in every situation.
How can we be praying for you?
1. For our evangelism course starting in March and leading up to Easter.
2. For wisdom to disciple new believers well.
3. For resources to employ an outreach worker.
