Jerry Riendeau

Grace Presbyterian Church | Dearborn, MI

Tell us about your family.

Katherine and I have been married for 13 years. We have four children; Virginia (9), Alice (7), Jerry (6), and William (2 months!). We are all big Detroit sports fans and love playing board games together.

How have you seen God working in your family?

The biggest way God has been working in our family is he just added to it! In December (2025) we welcomed our fourth child, William, into the world. God has also been growing my children in their faith. This past year Virginia (9) professed her faith before the church which was very exciting. Her sister Alice (7) has also told us she is ready to do the same!

How have you seen God working in your life?

God is growing me in patience and faith. Church planting is a long and tiresome journey. Sometimes it feels like we won't make it! By watching God provide each step of the way I have been learning to trust him and wait for his timing.

How have you seen God working in your church?

We have been blessed to see God continually draw indvididuals to himself through the church. Later this month we will be baptizing 8 individuals, including a man who just came to faith from Islam and his wife and children!

Another thing we are very excited about as a church is that we have been blessed to find a new worship space. Our last space was not ideal and maxed out at about 90 folks. We are now worshiping in a 100 year old traditional church building in the heart of our city and God has been adding to our numbers.

What is your church’s mission/vision?

Today the gospel is very avoidable in the City of Dearborn. Most people here will live their whole lives without ever hearing the message of forgiveness of sins through faith in Christ. We dream of a day, working with other great churches, when the gospel will be UNAVOIDABLE. Where everyone in our city will have the opportunity to hear about Christ from a Christian.

How can we be praying for you?

1. Pray for sleep for Katherine and I as we adjust to a newborn!

2. Pray continued financial provision for our church.

3. Pray that God would help us to disciple the new believers in the church.
