Tell us about your family.
My wife and I have been married for 42 years, a journey truly blessed by the Lord. We have three children who are our pride: Allen, married to Maria Luisa, parents of our granddaughters Grace Marie and Gianna Lia (Dominican Republic); Leslie, married to Yuri, parents of our grandchildren Ethan and Katelyn (Greenwood, IN); and our daughter Shelly, who lives in Lafayette, IN. As a family, we enjoy sharing special moments of fellowship, talking, and witnessing how God has guided the steps of each of our children in their respective homes and cities.
How have you seen God working in your family?
Throughout these 42 years of marriage, I have seen God not only as the author of our union but as the constant Architect of our family. His faithfulness has been revealed in how He has sustained us through life’s transitions, turning our challenges into testimonies of His grace. I have witnessed how He has shaped our children’s character, guiding them in their own homes and molding them into living stones of faith. God has been the connecting thread that—even across geographical distances—has kept our family bond unbreakable, reminding us that His provision is sufficient for every stage.
How have you seen God working in your life?
God has been working in my life, transforming my character and giving me an eternal perspective amidst the everyday. I have seen how He has redeemed my mistakes, turning them into lessons in humility and total dependence on His Holy Spirit. His patience has been the strength that sustained me, and His grace has opened doors where, from a human perspective, I saw no way forward. I recognize His hand in how He has been molding my heart to love people and serve the church with the same devotion with which He has loved me.
How have you seen God working in your church?
I have seen God’s hand at work in the Catalytic Hub through the spiritual growth and maturity of our leaders. God is raising up people committed to the vision of expanding His Kingdom, overcoming obstacles with creative faith. Most striking of all is witnessing how the Gospel message is transforming lives, creating a community that not only gathers to worship but is also equipped to serve and multiply the message in our city and beyond.
What is your church’s mission/vision?
Our vision is to be a training and resource center that catalyzes the church-planting movement in Cuba. Our mission is to identify, equip, and send out leaders passionate about the Gospel, fostering a culture of multiplying discipleship where every believer is a missionary in their own community, ensuring that the message of Christ reaches every corner of our city and beyond.
How can we be praying for you?
For our family: We ask for prayer for health and unity, that God may continue to strengthen our bonds despite the physical distance, and that we may remain a testimony of His love to our children and grandchildren.
For the Catalytic Hub: We pray that God provides the necessary resources, wisdom, and direction to equip church planters, enabling us to reach every corner of Havana with the Gospel.
For new leaders: We ask the Lord to raise up more workers who are passionate and committed to the vision of multiplication, ready to be sent out to transform their communities through the power of Christ.
