Redemption Church | Mukachevo, Ukraine

Tell us about your family.

Anastasia and I have been married for seven years and we have four children age five and under. Our fourth child was born prematurely during the war which was a real challenge for us.

How have you seen God working in your family?

We praise God that our daughter did not die and that she is now getting stronger.

How have you seen God working in your church?

Our church is a light for our community. We persist to serve families affected by the war. We persist to reach out to youth with sports programs. We persist to preach the gospel each week as we dig into scripture and call people to repentance. Six people were recently baptized and there will be several more this summer.

What is your church’s mission/ vision?

Our vision is to grow spiritually mature leaders who are willing to serve others, who know what God is calling them to do, and who are aware of their spiritual gifts. We encourage all our members to spread the Gospel locally, nationally, and internationally, for the glory of the Lord.

How can we be praying for you?

  1. Pray that young men in our church will escape conscription into the war. Men are still being kidnapped by our government.

  2. Pray that the war will end soon.

  3. Pray that our leadership team will be unified and focussed on our mission.

How have seen God working in your life?

More than four years of war has taken its toll on me. I have stopped trying to be strong for my family and my church. With child-like faith I make it through each day. I know that must model this "weakness" for my church and at the same time proclaim God's faithfullness and hope for the future.
